My experience has progressively shaped this direction. At Company A (a national newspaper's business desk), I developed the ability to synthesise complex financial information and communicate it clearly; my subsequent roles in retail lending at Company B (a retail-lending NBFC) and in my family's auto-finance business gave me hands-on experience in underwriting, risk assessment, and borrower behaviour, clarifying my desire to move beyond transaction-level credit decisions toward a broader investor perspective focused on long-term value. The Booth Master in Finance is critical to these goals: its 15-month, STEM-designated structure, built-in internship, and flexibility to take MBA electives provide the depth and practical exposure to transition into competitive investment roles. Booth's asset-management-focused curriculum, including Portfolio Management, Behavioural and Institutional Finance, Impact Investing, and Institutional Private Capital Investing, aligns directly with my interests, and learning from world-class finance faculty will sharpen my analytical rigour.
