When a third-degree burn ended my ambition of competing nationally in tennis, I was heartbroken; the court had been my sanctuary. Seeking an outlet, I turned to kickboxing, and practising in public parks I noticed patterns: broken equipment, pollution, poor lighting, and a lack of…

safe, affordable spaces. With only 6% of India's 1.43B population having access to quality facilities and women just 29% of participants, I realised my frustration reflected a systemic issue, a collision of climate, equity, and sport. Motivated to address these barriers, I joined a global professional-services firm, where I led sustainability and infrastructure projects across India, the UK, and the Middle East; supporting initiatives projected to cut ~7B tonnes of CO2e and unlock $30B+ in funding, I saw how decisions, from financing to design, could either perpetuate inequity or create access. Craving grassroots impact, I joined my neighbourhood council as its youngest member, helping install CCTVs and lighting to make playgrounds safer for girls and launching tennis and badminton programmes that led to a 5x increase in girls playing. Post-MBA, I aim to work at McKinsey or BCG as a generalist, gaining cross-market insights from regions leading in climate action, before pivoting into sports mandates; I'm also open to sports-focused consultancies or ESG roles at global sports organisations to learn how sports ecosystems integrate ESG into infrastructure and operations. Long-term, I envision creating a network of renewable-powered, inclusive, affordable sports centres, piloting in East India before scaling nationally to make structured sport accessible to underserved youth, especially girls. This is the right moment for an MBA. To scale my venture across stakeholders and communities, I need strategic, leadership, and operational skills, and LBS's Sustainability and Entrepreneurship pathways and global network make it the ideal platform. Courses like Sustainability Leadership link purpose with profitability, Managing Sport and Entertainment will deepen my understanding of inclusive sports models, and the Entrepreneurial Mindset will sharpen my ability to structure high-impact opportunities. I hope to start a sustainability pillar within the Sports Business Club, and immersion in London's sports ecosystem, from clubs' community initiatives to stadium-wide retrofits, will give me insights into applying ESG across the value chain that can be scaled to emerging markets. For me, an LBS MBA is more than a degree; it's a launchpad to explore inclusive, climate-resilient sports solutions in one of the world's most dynamic sporting capitals and bring them home to drive change in India.
