From one-on-one career sessions that start as soon as you receive an offer to Sundowners that alumni still attend years later, I see how LBS blends professional focus with lifelong friendships. Given the conversational nature of classes, I look forward to sharing perspectives from my CFA Level 2 preparation and a quantitative-trading internship, and to sharing notes to help peers pursuing the CFA alongside the course. Beyond the classroom, I see myself active in the Investment Management Club, where I'd start a discussion group for active investors to exchange views on market trends and portfolio strategies. Having managed my own portfolio and mentored peers through my university's investment society, I know how important it is to demystify investing, and I hope to organise financial-modelling workshops for classmates without a finance background. During a hedge-fund internship I examined how quantitative methods are transforming certain markets, a perspective I'd love to share with the relevant club, and I've arranged for a former mentor who left private equity to launch a quantitative trading firm to run a speaker session on unconventional career paths. Looking ahead, I'd like to guide prospective applicants as a student ambassador and, as an alumnus, mentor future students pursuing equity-research careers in London. To me, LBS isn't just a school, it's a lifelong community I'll be proud to nurture.
