waited for but created, I founded a Women in Business Club, a space where women could build confidence and industry exposure to pursue careers where we were underrepresented. The pandemic gave this vision greater urgency, internships vanished and peers felt adrift, so launching a non-credit initiative required persistence and empathy: convincing students to commit, securing faculty support, and persuading professionals to lead virtual sessions. Within a year, the club grew to 40 members, hosted 20+ workshops, and reached 800+ students through mentorship and webinars. We launched a newsletter featuring women entrepreneurs that reached 1,000+ readers, built career playbooks and CV templates, grew an online community to 3,000+ followers, and hosted the college's first-ever business fest. What began as a pandemic response evolved into a thriving institution with 100+ active members across eight departments, mirroring corporate structures to offer real leadership experience, with peer mentorship where seniors guided juniors through resume reviews and interviews. Even after graduation, I continue to mentor the leadership team on partnerships and strategy. Watching it grow independently reaffirms my belief that meaningful impact isn't about leading from the front, it's about building systems that empower others to lead. At NBS, I aim to keep designing inclusive initiatives and supporting women-focused platforms.
